Otis “Mudhole” Garnett Childress, 74, of Stafford County passed away Saturday, March 16, at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Childress was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Backwoods Hunt Club. Survivors include his companion, Barbara Ann Brooks; son Anthony Childress; two grandchildren; brother Ronald Childress; and sister Janet Bell. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Marie Childress. The family received friends Monday, March 18, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Backwoods Hunt Club, 406 Richards Ferry Road, Fredericksburg, VA, 22406; or to a charity of one’s choice. Online guest book is at covenantfuneralservice.com.
