Elva E. Blakley, 83, of King George County passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at her home surrounded by her children.
Mrs. Blakley was a member of the Patawomeck Indian Tribe. She was an avid quilt maker and loved Friday night bingo with her husband and friends. Mrs. Blakley was a very generous person.
Survivors include son William E. Blakley (Debbie) and daughters Bonny B. Newton (D.P.) and Martha Blakley, all of King George; brothers Delma Bullock of Frederiskburg and “Pappy,” Jack, “Bowlegs” and Dootsie Bullock and Clyde and Spencer Jett, all of Stafford County; sisters Kathy Harding, Lane Holland and Carol Coffey, all of Stafford and Boodie Brown of KY; grandchildren Kim Madison (Calvin Lee), Chip Blakley (Jen), Kaylan Maxey (Dennis) and Beau Price (Deanna); and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband William H. Blakley; son Mathew Blakley; and sister Peggy Sullivan.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Frankie Stevens, Wayne DeShazo, Billy Buchholz, Ronald DeShazo, Jimmie Blakley and Steve Dempsey.
