Floyd “Eldora” Harris, 84, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Gainesville Health & Rehab Center in Gainesville.

Born in Caroline County Oct. 7, 1928 to Virgil and Ida L.B. Frye, Eldora was the widow of Otto W. Harris. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site).

She is survived by two sons, Dennis M. Harris of Caroline and Gilbert O. Harris of Dahlgren; three daughters, Valerie D. Harris of Winter Haven, FL, Deborah Pratt of Locust Grove and Brigitte H. Howard of Spotsylvania; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Martha A. Frye and Alberta L. Frye, both of Spotsylvania; and two brothers, Aaron G.D. Frye Sr. and Raleigh S. Frye, both of Spotsylvania.

A service was held Monday, Feb. 4, at Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site), Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Anthony A. Parrish officiating. Burial was in Quantico National Cemetery.
