Doris “Dorie” Gotthardt, 75, a longtime resident of Colonial Beach, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.

Doris was born in 1937 in Washington, DC., and was the loving daughter of Ruth Parker. She leaves

behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Charles W. “Bill” Gotthardt; and her sister, Mildred “Millie” Albrecht of Reedsville. Also left behind is a loving family that includes her children, Craig (Vanessa), Cheryl (Tim), Anna, and David (Katherine). Doris was also blessed to have seven grandchildren, Grace, Seth, Troy, Erika, Alex, Gabriel and Makayla; and great-granddaughter Giuliana.

The family will have a memorial service Saturday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m., at Colonial Beach United Methodist Church (CBUMC), 1 Washington Ave., Colonial Beach, 22443.

Memorial contributions to the CBUMC may be made in lieu of flowers.
