William Thomas (Tom) Lee the son of the late Harry Latane and Elsie Lee was born April 13, 1936 in Caroline County, VA. On Friday, December 28, 2012 God called him home to eternal rest at 3:50 p.m. at Carrington Place in Tappahannock, VA.
At an early age he joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church and attended while he was home. Tom attended and graduated from Essex High School in Tappahannock, VA in 1955. He then enlisted in the Air Force in August 12, 1959 and was discharged in September 1965. He received an honorable discharge based on his disability. After rehabilitation he was able to work as a sale person in retail until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Franklin Myers and Richard Edward Lee; a sister-in-law, Lorriane Myers, and niece, Ginger Samuel.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tom is survived by his son William Stevon Lee of Portland, OR; four sisters Fannie Lee of King George, VA, Ruth Norman of Port Royal, VA, Dorothy Lee of Cheltenham, MD, and Elsie Samuel (Leon) of Hustle, VA; four brothers Arthur Myers (Nancy) of Rappahannock Academy, VA, James Myers of Fort Washington, MD, Harry Latane Lee of King and Queen, VA, Will Rogers Lee of Tappahannock, VA; two sister-in-laws Sherry Lee of Niagara Fall, NY, Eula Myers of Tappahannock, VA; an aunt, Lucy Lee of NJ; special cousin, Delores Lennon of NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The service was held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Supply, VA.
The burial ceremony was held Friday, Jan. 4 2013 at Quantico National Cemetery, in Triangle, VA.
