Fredericksburg held its annual Via Colori street painting festival, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22 and 23 from 10-5. The students from King George High School turned out in force, completing five of the approximately 80 squares painted by artists from around the area.
The KGHS Art Club members Katie Bailey, Genni Askin, Sara Cialan, Julie Watkins, and Emily Clark worked together to finish the square titled "Welcome to My Wonderland." Seniors Abby Hastings and Sarah Phillips completed a square together, as did Brittney Musick and Selena Learn. Additionally, Chelsea Hogan and Sierra Dermody each completed their own square. As their art teacher and art club sponsor, I also completed a square.
