Michael Robinson, 50, of Colonial Beach was arrested Wednesday morning at home without incident and charged with 3 counts of petty larceny and 3 counts of embezzlement.
The Westmoreland Sheriff’s Office was notified by Robinson's employer at the 7-Eleven in Colonial Beach that one of its employees might be stealing money, according to Sheriff C. O. Balderson.
Detective William Lewko and Lieutenant Anthony Darby were dispatched toto the scene. After a brief investigation Robinson was taken into custody and released on his own recognizance.
The alleged occurrences were reported to have happened between July 22 and 3, 2012. Robinson will have his first court appearance in Westmoreland General District Court on Aug. 28.
The incident is still under investigation and further charges are pending.
