This October ended with a lot of excitement and scary events, we all hope everyone made it through without mishap.
In the spirit of the upcoming holidays, our artists have been busy preparing for the season. This month JarrettThor Fine Arts Gallery is sponsoring an alumni event featuring some of the artists who have attended the various workshops over the past year.
They hope to be able to demonstrate some of the new techniques they learned from attending these sessions. It should be a fun and exciting exhibit and it will be extended through the holiday season. Going across the street is Pottery by Hannah, as well as a plethora of various talented artists at Studio A, all with exciting things to show you.
Following Hawthorn Street you will find the RiverView Inn where painter and sculptor, James Roach, will have his new exhibit up and ready for your viewing pleasure. Esco Limited, of Hawthorn Street, repaints and revamps almost anything…including a cat tower! Stop by and take a look at this unique find.
Right next door at Visions by Shirl, local artist Hubert Jackson will have a few pieces on exhibit and has joined with the resident artists for an exciting showing of art pieces this month.
Coming back around to Taylor Street you will find at the River Fisheries Commission building, artist Michelle Phillips, an educator and practicing forensic entomologist, will exhibit some enchanting photographic images and illustrations of various critters of our environment.
So take a night out and come visit us. Just as a reminder, admission is always free to the public and the people are friendly. Enjoy a pleasant evening at our 2nd Friday Art Walk.
