two seats on the School Board has brought out 10 citizens who believe they have what it takes to turn the tide.
Town council
Council member Trish King is not running for re-election and council members Steve Kennedy and David Coombes’ current four-year terms are over. Kennedy and Coombes are running as incumbents. Also on the ballot are Shane Buzby and Gary Seeber. Mike Ham and Joseph Head are running as write-in candidates.

School Board
Patrice Lyburn, the longest serving member of the Colonial Beach School Board has decided not to seek another four-year term. Wayne Kennedy’s seat on the board is up for reelection. He was appointed to finish the unexpired term of School Board member Rocky Denson and is running for re-election. William A. Antosz, Victoria Gerst Roberson and Michelle Jenkins Payne are also on the ballot for the May 4 election contest.
