Helen Marie Rishebarger
Helen Marie Rishebarger, 94, of Ashburn died peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at her residence.
Born Nov. 13, 1915, in Confluence, Pa., she was the daughter of the late St. Elmo and Ila M. Prince McClintock.
Mrs. Rishebarger was a beautician, a member of Colonial Beach United Methodist Church and UMW. She volunteered at Greater Southeast Community Hospital, Washington, D.C.
She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Rishebarger, on Nov. 2, 1941, and last year they celebrated 68 years of marriage. The family would like to thank Home Instead Senior Care for providing round-the-clock personal care.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by a daughter, Susan Rishebarger of Ashburn, with whom Robert and Helen resided.
Friends were received Saturday, April 24, at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md., followed by a graveside service in the Addison Cemetery.

William Roger Rankins
William Roger Rankins, 73, of Hustle departed this life Sunday, April 18, 2010.
He is survived by one daughter, Rita Vessels of Fredericksburg; five granddaughters; one great-grandson; one brother, Sherman Blagmon of Chance; and three very devoted cousins, Fannie Rankins and Mae Rankins, both of Hustle, and Winfred Harvey of King George County.
A visitation was held Thursday, April 22, at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd. A funeral was held the next day at Antioch Baptist Church, Champlain, with the Rev. Daniel Goodall, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock.

Frank F. Coates Jr.
Frank F. Coates Jr., 79, of Colonial Beach passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Index, Frank was a retired auto mechanic in Colonial Beach and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Shiloh.
Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Coates; a son, Frank Coates III and his wife, Candace, of Colonial Beach; three sisters, Edna Adkins of Fredericksburg, Barbara Owens of Montross, and Gladys Coates of King George County; two grandchildren, Frank Coates IV of Colonial Beach and Ashley Coates Gray of King George; one great-grandson, Hunter Coates Bristow; and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Grace Coates, and sister Margaret Wholey.
A funeral service was held Friday, April 23, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach, with the Rev. Johnny Almond officiating. Burial followed in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oak Grove.

Mary Louise “Bz” Bowen
Former King George resident, Mary Louise “Bz” Bowen died April 22, 2010 at her home in Arizona.
Bz was born July 27, 1918 in Bucks County, PA to Russell and Mary Flack. While she lived in King George she was an active member of the American Legion’s Ladies Auxiliary and the AARP.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Marc Bradley Butler
Marc Bradley Butler, 60, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1949 in Harrisonburg, VA and lived in King George.
He attended King George County schools and James Madison University (formerly Madison College). He recently retired from the VA Dept. of Highways.
Marc was a member of Two Rivers Baptist Church, Hudson-Morris Lodge #80 A.F. & A.M., Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Fredericksburg Aerie, and was Chairman of the scholarship committee and was the past president of the Fredericksburg Duke Club. He was an avid supporter of James Madison University and enjoyed NASCAR, gold and music.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Carol Eustace; his son Jon and his fiance Christin Shum, both of Williamsburg, and his daughter, Jessica of the home; his brothers Gary (Colleen) of Spotsylvania, Bradley (Anita) of King George, Gregory (Pam) of King George; his sister, Shelly Seay (Douglas) of Spotsylvania; his uncle, Richard Burnside (Mary Ann) of Stafford; sisters-in-law Rebecca Mills (Don) of Spotsylvania, Deborah Britt (Phillip) of Knoxville, TN; brother-in-law Lee Eustace(Barbara) of Spotsylvania; his Father & Mother-in-law, Vernon & Evelyn Eustace of Spotsylvania; nephews, Travis Sullivan, Brock Butler, Taylor Butler, Connor Butler and his nieces, Kelly Butler and Erin Butler.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Butler and mother, Elizabeth Striegel.
A funeral service will be held at Nash and Slaw Funeral Home, King George, on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Meadow-Brooke Memorial Gardens, formerly Historyland Memorial.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, April 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.
